Q: I purchased from torchlight.perfectworld.com and when I enter my key, I get an “Invalid Serial Number” error.

Q: I purchased from torchlightgame.com and when I enter my key, I get an “Invalid Activation Key” error.

Q: My download link has expired / is really slow. What can I do?

Q: I purchased the game and did not get a key. What do I do?
A: Contact customerservice@runicgames.com and have the email address you used when you purchased and the invoice ID or transaction ID from your purchase in the email along with your issue.
If you are having problems running the game, Hopefully one of these quick solutions might be able to help you out.

  1. Run in Safe Mode – go to your start menu, select the Torchlight folder and click on “Play Torchlight Safe Mode”. Once you are running in safe mode, go into your settings and select a fullscreen resolution and check mark the fullscreen button.
  2. Gamers Gate Problems – Did you buy it from Gamers Gate and getting the error: “The application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.”? Follow this link: http://forums.runicgames.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1286
  3. Not running Well – you might want to lower the game requirements. When Torchlight starts, click on the settings button. Change your particle Detail to “Low”. Change your shadows detail to “Off”. Try the game out at this point. If it still is having issues go back into the settings and this time check mark the “Netbook” button. Give that a try.
